Save the date: third ACCSESS open event online

The EU-funded project ACCSESS is delighted to invite you to an open online event exploring the opportunities and challenges related to managing captured CO₂, in order to achieve the goals of the European Clean Industrial Deal.

Using Central Europe as a case study, the event will explore the opportunities of CO₂ utilisation, the recent development of European CO₂ infrastructure, and how CO₂ specifications can influence the costs. CO₂ providers will share their views on the challenges and strategies involved in managing and transporting captured CO₂ to its final destination.

Topics to be covered will include:

  • German infrastructure and perspectives from the cement industry,
  • CO₂ infrastructure and perspectives from Waste-to-Energy plants,
  • Development of a central European infrastructure, hub and storage sites,
  • The role of CO₂ purity requirements with regards to cleaning efforts and costs,
  • The role of mineralisation processes in CO₂ utilisation
  • Round table discussion on CO₂ transport modularity, challenges and utilisation options with representatives from CO₂ capture projects in the cement industry.

The event will also provide insights into ACCSESS’ ongoing CO₂ capture pilot testing at the Górażdże cement plant in Poland.
