Hafslund Celsio’s mobile CO2 capture pilot rig has been dismantled at Stora Enso’s kraft pulp mill in Skutskär, Sweden, been transported to Heidelberg Materials’ cement kiln in Górażdże, Poland, where it is now being installed.
This work is part of ACCSESS’ Piloting improved CO₂ capture technology innovation, where ACCSESS is testing improved CO2 capture at different European industry sites, using Saipem’s “CO2 Solutions” enzyme and Prospin and Proceler’s rotating packed bed (RPB) absorber.
So far, the rig has undergone test campaigns at Hafslund Celsio’s waste-to-energy plant in Oslo, Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM) on the Norwegian west coast, and Stora Enso’s pulp mill in Sweden. Its installation at Heidelberg Material’s cement kiln marks the beginning of the final test campaign.
