Testing has now concluded at Technology Centre Mongstad, and the ACCSESS test rig has been successfully moved to Stora Enso’s pulp and paper mill in Skutskär, Sweden.
Preparations are now underway for the next round of CO2 capture tests using Hafslund Oslo Celsio’s pilot rig, Saipem’s CO2 solutions enzyme and Prospin and Proceler’s rotating packed bed absorber.
Once operational, this testing campaign will mark ACCSESS’ first attempts to demonstrate improved CO2 capture on one of its four target industrial sectors. ACCSESS is also the first large CO2 capture project to include pulp and paper.
