ACCSESS featured in EU report mapping innovative projects for climate neutrality

“Scaling up innovative technologies for climate neutrality: Mapping of EU demonstration projects in energy-intensive industries” is an overview of the key technologies that have received EU funding to enable energy-intensive industries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The report points to the need for follow-up investments for these clean technologies to enter the market by 2030 and significantly contribute to the EU’s 2050 climate goals.

ACCSESS was mentioned in relation to its work to pilot improved CO₂ capture with an enzymatic solvent from Saipem and RPB absorber from Prospin and Proceler (“Innovation 1”). Tests are currently underway at Technology Centre Mongstad, after which the project will move to test the technology at Stora Enso’s pulp and paper mill in Skuskär, Sweden.
